Ordered this dress initially in both black and the Paintsplash print in size L. Both were way too big, but looked promising enough so that I reordered in size M. Paintsplash has wonderful bright colors but the fabric is so slippery that waist tie won't stay cinched. Black fabric has a more crepe-like texture so the tie stays tied and dress is flattering. I'm 5'9" and the hem hits just above my knees - longer than it appears in the illustration on the website. I'm somewhere between a size 10 and a size 12 and the "shapewear" included with this size M dress is too loose to be of any effect. I recommend that anyone ordering this dress consider sizing down.
