Obermeyer Banff Ski Jacket - Waterproof Insulated (For Women)

I bought this jacket to go with a pair of obermeyer pants which I really love. The jacket is well-made and has some nice features and pockets. I'm normally a size 8 but I ordered this one in 10, so it's a little broad at the shoulders, but it allows multiple layering, which is nice for very cold days.

My daughter loved she was able to get such a good jacket for a reasonable price. She's not crazy about the color but as a parent I feel better knowing that she's wearing a bright color that'll show up in snow or woods or water.

I live in a cold windy place and planned to use the jacket for my day to day needs. (Bringing in firewood, taking the dogs for hikes, etc.) It works wonders. I love it! The wind is not getting through, the wet rolls off the back, the sleeve and inner skirt meant to keep out the snow, is just as good as keeping out the cold wind. Because the jacket is only a bit over a pound and very compactible, it is easily to carry with you during travel. The white stripes also help greatly with visibility during the night.

Love, love, love this jacket. The fabric is so soft, so there is no bulk and great freedom of movement. I'm still finding pockets, and the color is great. The wrist warmers with thumb holes were a bonus.

Very lightweight, concerned at first it might not be warm enough. However, after 2 days out on the skihill it seems to be just fine!

Great fabric, superb fit. Don't like the interior sleeves that fit over the thumb. Might cut those off. Otherwise, just what I was looking for.

Really, really nice jacket & very well made. High quality but unfortunately it was too large and they were out of the next size down. The orange color was beautiful. I'm really disappointed that the jacket did not fit.

Although I have only had this jacket for a couple of weeks, it has already been tested in some challenging weather (snow turning to rain, then to ice!) I stayed completely dry in this jacket, and the collar and hood are my favorite features. The collar is fleece lined and when the coat is zipped all the way up, it forms an extremely effective and comfortable barrier against the cold. The hood is designed to extend a bit beyond the face, so that precipitation rolls off of it and your face remains dry. The color (orange) is soooo vibrant and several people have commented on it. Since I am not a skier, I would have appreciated an extra 1-1.5 inches in the length of the jacket, but I am looking forward to a comfy winter!

I was actually looking for something more fashionable and not so sporty but this is sharp and fun with white accessories(pants,goggles etc.).

Finally bought a new ski coat after 10 years. Love the Orange color and the lycra hand/sleeve thing. Its nice for putting on gloves and keeping any stray snow out. well thought out coat. I typically buy men's coat, due to the womans coat sleeves being a tad short for me - This coat was spot on. Fond of Obermeyer products for durability and features. This jacket has it.
