Obermeyer Bond II Pants - Waterproof Soft Shell (For Women)

I bought these to wear when running around town or even walking my dog at the dog park this winter in Alaska. A little long in the legs but fits comfortably and warm.

Material and design are great - overall they felt wonderful BUT they are too low rise for me to be comfortable skiing in these pants. I returned mine. I'd recommend to those who prefer the low rise cut.

These MAY have been great, but I couldn't say. I had to return them as they were very, very tight in the size that I always wear...and they didn't have the next size up...

I wear these snow shoeing, x-country and downhill skiing. The fit was flattering, I really like the pants, so I made adjustments. Had the tailor shorten the length. I wear wide suspenders with pants when skiing as low rise is not conducive to high activity. Gaitors keep the snow out. Pants really keep me warm and dry and not at all bulky. I've had them two seasons and I still love them. Again,the low rise is cute, but without the suspenders I could not be as active.

I ordered a 12, and usually I wear between an 8 (in stores that are trying to flatter me, I suspect), and a 12 (in stores that are not trying to flatter me). Typically a 10. I will say that in the world of more attempts to create a fit for someone they call "curvy" at Ann Taylor Lofts, these are designed for the more non-curvy amongst us. so they fit--tightly--at the hips, but they're loose at the waist. Still, despite my grumbling, they're a sweet design, and even though i'm not their target body shape, they still work well enough, and I'm picky enough to not keep something that isn't flattering. They're also warm which is what i need for some long walks around cities in the dead of winter. I haven't tried them out yet for that purpose, but I like the amount of thickness and the promise of warmth.
