“not for the curvy”

“I ordered a 12, and usually I wear between an 8 (in stores that are trying to flatter me, I suspect), and a 12 (in stores that are not trying to flatter me). Typically a 10. I will say that in the world of more attempts to create a fit for someone they call "curvy" at Ann Taylor Lofts, these are designed for the more non-curvy amongst us. so they fit--tightly--at the hips, but they're loose at the waist. Still, despite my grumbling, they're a sweet design, and even though i'm not their target body shape, they still work well enough, and I'm picky enough to not keep something that isn't flattering. They're also warm which is what i need for some long walks around cities in the dead of winter. I haven't tried them out yet for that purpose, but I like the amount of thickness and the promise of warmth.”
