I found this jacket on Sierra Trading Post, and fell in love with the lime green color. I ordered it and cannot say enough good things about it! It fits great, it is well made with great attention to detail, and it's very visible while walking my dog.

I already knew that it did not have the snow skirt, however I could not resist at the sale price. I have not taken it onto the slopes yet to know the full effects, but I am looking forward to doing so. I spotted this anthracite color last winter and am very glad to have picked it up at this price!

So happy to order something and feel like you got a great deal instead of knowing how something ended up on the sale rack. Order at least a size larger this is a slim fit jacket. I am 5"5" 135. I am a consistent 4 in coats. I ordered that 6R and it fits nicely. Sleeves are a bit long but the adjustable snaps rectify this. Your butt will not be covered, white ski pants compliments this jacket nicely. Wish there was a rating for warmth. I have nothing to test it on here in Hawaii.

Of course, I stand out and look a bit like the Tin Man because it is so flashy, but it is a complimentary flashy.

Answer This is a ski jacket. It is designed by Obermeyer which is based in Aspen, Colorado. Obermeyer has been producing ski wear since the 1950s. It is insulated with multi-layer ComforMax insulation, which is made from polyester fibers. Polyester is the most common fiber used as insulation in winter clothing. It would be a fashionable jacket to wear around town.
