5.0 out of 5 stars. Love this jacket

Just received jacket and it is gorgeous. Bought it for skiing so haven't worn it yet but it fits well, looks great, has all the pockets and doodads I need. Hood large enough to fit over helmet if needed, has thumbholes in sleeves to keep lining in place and cover wrists. Not bulky. Hopefully it will be as warm as my LLBean parka, but if not, it looks so good, I'll wear it for normal cold days and not the below 0 ones.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. well constructed jacket but zippers are enormous and gaudy

this jacket is fabulous and very warm- i just thought that the pocket zippers dominated the vision of the jacket and if they were perhaps less gaudy or smaller I would have kept the jacket but i looked like i was flaunting zippers as they were a color that did not complement the color of the jacket- sent it back regretfully
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Nice, but not the right size

The jacket was very nice, comfortable, but a little larger than expected. I bought another obermeyer that was not as loose in the same size. Lots of nice features for a skier. I was looking for a superwarm jacket for those frigid days skiing in Maine - I bought a different one from obermeyer with more insulation.

About Obermeyer

When Klaus Obermeyer became one of Aspen’s first ski school instructors more than 60 years ago, he had no idea that his lifelong passion would eventually lead him to start an outdoor apparel company. Among Klaus’s first innovations was a down ski jacket he created at home using recycled goose down from an old comforter. Designed and tested on snow-covered slopes in the Colorado Rockies, Obermeyer ski jackets would soon gain a reputation for offering superior weather protection, warmth and style. Although Obermeyer ski pants and jackets have come a long way in the last half a century, the tradition of making top-notch outerwear for skiers and riders remains the foundation of this brand, which is still headquartered in Aspen to this day.
