I use them on very cold days when shoveling the snow and they keep me warm. They are light and let me move easily about with no restrictions. I'm looking forward to the real test in a few weeks while visiting my family in Denver; going into the mountains (snow angels here I come)!

Reviewed by kate from spring grove IL on Monday, January 23, 2012I bought these in 2 sizes, since I wasn't sure of the fit. They are cut roomy in the leg, and more fitted in the hip, the side panels are nice- stretchy and forgiving. I'm on the small side of an 18 and the 18 are a little roomy for me. I also ordered 16, which are too snug. So not sure if I want too keep the 16 in hope of shedding my Xmas holiday weight and return the 18. Having said that, these are well made and warm. I'm 5'8" and they are just the right length in the R size.

I'll be wearing these for cold weather motorcycle riding (as a passenger behind my husband)! Even though I ordered the short length, they're a little long, but I'm a lot short - so no surprise! Haven't worn them yet, so can't answer some questions, but just trying them on inside, I think they'll be fine!

Answer The Obermeyer Sugarbush Snow Pants do not have ankle zips, but has intergrated powder cuffs which will fit over ski boots. These were designed for skiers.

Answer No zippers on outside of pants anywhere. There is only one small zipper on the inside for a key or money. And yes, they fit over downhill ski boots.
