Well built and solid shoe. Good toe room if you have Mortins toe ie. 2nd toe longer than big toe.

I have tried on three pair of the Oboz Yellowstone's in three different stores and each pair was sized differently. At the REI Flagship store in Denver both shoes in my size were too snug. A half size larger made them too long. At the Ft. Collins store the fit was accurate but I could not bring myself to pay [$] for them even though they felt very comfortable. STP had the last pair in my size sent to my house from their Reno store. The left shoe was a bit snug where as the right shoe was very tight. Too bad because with the extra one day discount these were only [$]. I have never encountered a shoe that varies so wildly in size. Because of Oboz's inability to size a shoe it makes me wonder about the rest of their quality control in the shoes construction.I also got a pair of the Asolo FSN85 boots for [$]on the same one day special which I love. For a light hiking shoe I picked up a pair of Danner Exo Edge on clearance from Sportsman's Warehouse in Thornton, CO for [$].

Fortunately I read the previous reviews and ordered up 1/2 size, which seems to provide a good fit. Initially I found where the top of the tongue and laces hit my ankle to be a bit uncomfortable on the right foot. But after wearing for a while it felt ok. Another minor issue is that the laces reach almost to the top of the tongue, which I addressed by running the laces from top to bottom around the top hook, rather than the normal way. I liked them enough to order a 2nd pair as backup for when these wear out in a couple of years.

these shoes were a disappointment. they looked good out of the box, light weight, well made, etc. The third time I wore them the top lace hook broke off. Also the toe box seems too small and after a moderate hike my feet were Not happy.

There was no way that boot was a size 10. It felt like a 81/2.

Even though I ordered one size larger based on other reviewers' recommendations, these boots are still very uncomfortable. The problem is that the toe bed is much too narrow. To get a wide enough toe bed, I would probably need to get a shoe that is at least 2 sizes too big, which would make the heel width and length too large. Save yourself the trouble and don't buy these boots.

I received these the day of a big snowstorm and wore them all weekend in the snow. They performed great! I am looking forward to warmer weather to try them on some more trails. Very comfortable and keeps my feet dry.
