    Got this to wear paddling, it is a little thick in the front padding but it was the only model to fit my chest size. Wish it had more links, pockets, etc on the outside.

    Bought this vest for a raft trip down the Salt River. While it is USCG approved, rated type III, and quite durable, I was told it is no good for heavy white water rafting and would not be approved by the rangers on some rivers. I wish I had noticed that this vest is made for skiing not rafting. Now I will have to buy something else.
