It is advertised to repel water. I have not warn it in the rain. It may repel rain but it is not a rain coat.

    Shoulder pads in such lightweight material stood out unnaturally. The drape of the jacket was formless and sloppy. My intent was for casual wear, but this jacket was too ugly to wear anywhere.
