OllyDog Dog Pack - Large

Seems like a great pack, will take the dog for a hike soon to know how he likes it.

Just tired it out, bought one for [$] to try with my 2 dogs, Alaskan Malamute 94lbs and Wolf Hybrid 75lbs. They love it on... it soothes them I think! Although they have a lot of fur, the straps are not padded, and the design is not near as good as Ruff Wear Packs ([$]). The pack shifts side to side. Not sure how long they can wear it for with comfort....YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I wouldn't recommend it because it shifts so much. Pay for the good stuff...

He loves his new pack. Fits perfect and the sizing was accurate.

Backpacking, large enough to roll up the x-small thermarest prolite in one side and fleece blanket or food in the other side. I have one for each dog.

We use this product when we hike. Zuni carries snacks (ours & hers), and water for all of us. She also helps my husband by holding screws or nails for his building projects. Being a Labrador she likes to "work"! So far, NO negatives.

We have a high energy rhodesian ridgeback/german shepard mix 9mo old puppy. My puppy guru suggested I use the pack every day when I walk her. I fill 2 water bottles and put them in the pouches to add a bit of weight, then off we go. It really helps increase the work out for her with minimal work out increase for me (which at 8 mos pregnant is awesome). Plus she carries water for both of us. I can't wait to use on more true trail hiking once the baby is here. The pack is sturdy, attractive, and very easy to put on even with her wiggling. Highly recommend!!

I got this pack for my mutt an English Mastiff and German Shepherd dog. She is 120lbs with a huge barrel chest, and stands hip height to me and I'm 6'. I was a tad wary ordering this pack online, but after reading a description that it would indeed fit a very large dog I gave it a shot and I must say I am not disappointed. The pack fits well with many ways to adjust it, and once sized you can just clip it onto your dog and go. All that said however, the straps offer a wide range of adjustment and I can also fit this pack on my 80lbs German Shepherd Dog. The material against the dogs back on the top is a very strong aerated pad, while the outside pack material seems to be the same stuff a good backpack is made of. The wall material of the ouches that goes against the dog is a thinner nylon that isn't as tough, but it doesn't need to be and is likely more comfortable against the dog. It has a few reflective tape spots that really light up at night and there is a handle (not for carrying) on top and a plastic leash attaching point, though I doubt it is of any real use. The volume of the pouches is not huge, but you don't want to overload your dog's back either and it seems just right. Note that there is no rubbery material on the base of the pack to prevent it from slipping from side to side, but if you load it properly that doesn't seem to matter. Of course, as with all dog packs, weight must be distributed evenly. All in all, a very solid pack at a great price.

Fits the English Mastiff well- who adjusted quickly to the new addition to his walks! Haven't used it yet on the trail, but I am sure it will be just what he needs.

I chose this initially for the price, but after comparing it to many "nicer" models in stores, I know I picked the best one! It has a lot of storage space, and is light weight and very adjustable. My dog is a strange mix of boxer/greyhound/other with a large chest cavity and immense height, but VERY skinny; a little elastic where the understrap connects to the bag would be a nice addition for future models, to snug-up the strap without it having to be tightened. It takes a little time to adjust it properly for the dog, and my advice is to adjust it WITH ITEMS IN THE BAG so you'll save a re-adjustment later :) This bag has helped my shy, timid abused/rescued boy really gain confidence when we walk outside, around other people and sounds.
