    definitely durable and will be good for car trips and hiking trips. a little heavier than i expected (i like to keep weight minimal when backpacking). also, doesn't really cinch shut at the top, as advertised. lastly, the top is more narrow than the bottom...my wide nosed dog may have trouble reaching the food at the outer edge of the bottom.
