OllyDog Pet Food Bowl - Medium

I bought this bowl to stuff in my mutt's pack to replace the old aluminum mess-kit plate that has so faithfully served her for the past 4 years. I don't remember reading anything about this bowl being waterproof (I just assumed it was strictly a food bowl) but it is. I filled it with water, passed out in my doublenest for the night, and awoke to find that it was still full! It is very light, super-packable (a rubber band helps) and is quite roomy. I like it so much that I plan to order another one. Great product, I really like Ollydog's quality.

I keep a backpack with dog supplies in the car at all times and this set has held up well.

It's a nice bowl and is well constructed, but the biggest problem is that the draw-string at the top of the bowl does not close completely so the food falls out. It's a nice concept, but OllyDog needs to do some work on the draw-string closure.

This bowl is perfect for our dog for longer day and overnight hikes.

Good for office visits by pet.

I take my dog backpacking and have heard great things about having a cinching dog food bowl. The concept is great. In action, I've seen it work very well. Some dogs just don't eat everything put in front of them all the time - mine being one of them. So, for those meals, it'd be nice to be able to cinch the extra food up and throw it in a backpack. Other companies' cinching dog bowls DO work. I've seen it happen. This company's bowl does not. The fabric at the top is too thick and the bowl will not even close halfway shut without a fight. On top of that, it is on the heavier end of dog gear, and for dogs and people alike, every ounce does add up. The third strike is that the bowl appears far too deep to easily eat out of. It looks like it's for a horse rather than a dog. I haven't tried this bowl out beyond attempting to close it. It's going back to STP. I'm still in the market for the same type of bowl, just not from this company - at least until they make improvements.

I would have returned it but it would have cost too much to make it worth it. It's been OK, but it is perhaps too heavy duty for the purpose - rather have it more pliable and lighter for hiking.

I bought this as a backup to the silicon foldable dog bowls we typically use. The price on STP made this worth trying out. It's a tough, durable (somewhat) foldable water bowl. It should last a good long time. I still prefer the silicon fold up bowls over this bowl, but it's still a great product.

Great for Roadtrips!

Bought this for my lab when we go hiking because it would pack down. Sadly, my pup wants to eat everything in front of her and the drawstring option was just extra weight. This is not a bowl...It's a sack that can be eaten from.
