“Do they add special "chew me" scent?”

“I bought two of these in extra-large for my 50lb pup as a crate-pad and travel/car bed. It's not super fluffy, but it is very soft, and I figured it was better than the folded up blanket we had been using. As with most plush items I've given him, he started lightly chewing, and I told him no. In the past, a few "No." commands is all it takes to teach him that the item is not for chewing. A few days later, I left him in the crate for 10 minutes, and in that short amount of time, he had ripped open a corner, pulled out several tufts of the polyester fill, and was working on widening the hole. I've observed him sniffing the bed and licking his chops... I don't know what it is about the bed, but he wants to ingest it. Bad. The major disappointment I have is that the cover is not removable, so washing it means washing the whole pad. All in all, the item is "okay," and I do like that it's recycled material. But I'm still looking for the perfect everyday bed.”
