OllyDog Reflective Dog Coat - Large-Extra Large

I live in a rural area and walk my dogs early am and later pm. so usually dark. No sidewalks, so worry about being seen. I wear a reflective vest and now have same for the dogs. The coats are much more visible than their reflective collars and leashes. Very easy to put on. Best fit on my large lab but adjustable enough to fit the smaller husky border collie mix. The material is thin and would not likely do well for hiking/hunting situations, but wonderful for urban settings.

My 65 lb. Weimaraner blends into the woods so well I had trouble finding him on mountain hikes. I saw this and thought it perfect for my situation. It fits him perfectly and he actually likes wearing it as it is so lite weight.

I got these for my Lab and GSP for hiking during deer season, so we haven't put them to full use as of yet. The vests fit them like a glove and are easy to put on. I got the Lg for my Lab and the Med for my Shorthair. The girls don't mind them at all. I think they will be very visable in the woods with the yellow and reflective stripes. They are perfect for walking at night through the neighborhood. The only con that I can think of is that the material is thin, so we might run into snagging in the woods. Overall and for the price, I'm happy. We'll see how long they last.

Vest was purchased for night use. The reflective stripes should probably run vertical. Placed horizontally they appear too high on the dog for maximum visibility and protection. It is nice and light which is an important consideration in the desert in summer.

The reflective coat is better than I expected. It is VERY light weight. We have similar ones at work for people so I expected this one to be like those. Not at all, which is great! It is lighter and has a more airy feel. It is very loose so I can adjust it to any walking apparatus we have on the dogs.

I use this reflective coat during hunting season during the day. Being a brown dog, this coat makes her highly visible when hiking.

Color and reflector stripes are great. It's flimsy so expect branches and bushes to put pulls in it. It's a bit too small for my XL Malamute/Shepard mix dog and it was for XL...needs an extra 2 inches at the neck and mid. I wish it were 4 inches shorter down the back and the straps two inches longer...also it's a bit of a pain to loop the strap through the loop. I still use it cause we walk our dog off leash a lot and in the woods and I want him to be seen by cars, hunters and hikers as he looks like a wolf and people sometime s think he's a wild animal..he's actually very friendly. He can sometimes take off after deer so I want to be able to find him easily. No good for warmth but I wasn't looking for that....just bright to catch the eye. I recommend for it's visibility and reflectors... but it won't last for years. It does the job for now.

With one all-black GSD, running at night on country roads was daunting. I had been looking for something, other than using the headlamp around her neck, that would add to her being seen at the end of my leash - this is great. It's constructed from a mesh material, which won't let her overheat. I've tested it, and am pleased with the result!

Dog says woof and thinks hes the cutest thing since schnitzel.

I bought this for our country dog. We walk in the fields and woods daily, and I want him to be visible to hunters. It's really best for city walking on a leash, though. It was not easy to put on, and it picked up burrs.
