Omega Pacific Locking D Carabiner - Straight Gate

I got a handful of these to build anchors with, mostly big wall trad. I have had them out twice so far. Once I get these set up and the gate screwed closed, they ain't coming loose until I take em off, and thats exactly what I want from this piece of gear. They are heavy, so a half-dozen on a rack is not my favorite, but compare apples to apples - one bomber screwgate over two doubly opposed carabineers - and the weight issue is lessened (and the price that much better!). I have some other screwgates: BD and Metolius, and these are a little less smooth and a little less pretty, but they are rated just the same and seem to perform just the same.

Staple locking biner for the trad climber's rack. Does what you think it will do, how you think it should be done. Nothing fancy, nothing wrong. Note: all of my Omega carabiners are larger than the other brands' counterparts. That's nice at times and sometimes just means extra bulk...

I was looking to make up some quick draws with locking biners for sport climbing and these are perfect. First the price is great there lightweight and ready for serious work.

Good general purpose locker.

Feels nice in the hand, light and smooth screw action. all round pretty good.
