5.0 out of 5 stars. Very good on water.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Wisconsin on Wednesday, May 4, 2016Note that I do not use this for climbing. I use these at the end of home-made tube-webbing gear leashes in my solo canoe.
These functioned extremely well in fast-needed cold-water situations. Very nice.
This is a LOCKING carabiner, but you can leave the screw-lock open or closed.
Thus you can leave it open, to snap like a normal non-locking carabiner, or twisted closed for a solid positive lock. -

3.0 out of 5 stars. Functional but weightyVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ryan from Draper, Utah on Wednesday, March 30, 2016This is a classic, plain screw-locking biner. Due to its weight, which is a little on the heavy side, I wouldn't want a whole rack of these, but they're great for using with some webbing to set up a top rope anchor to climb on at your local crag. For my lockers, I typically prefer the twist-lock style (the Omega Jack is outstanding), but those are quite a bit pricier. If I'm just going to set something up and leave it for the day, these much-less-expensive screw-lock D's are just fine. Plenty of opening room in the gate, nice finish, and the well-known and respected Omega name.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Impressive DetailingVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from TEXAS on Thursday, January 21, 2016I am not a climber. i use carabiners for camping and for working in my shop. I bought one of these on closeout. It has a strong feel, good fit, and came at a competitive price. The finish is some of the best I've seen.

5.0 out of 5 stars. At this price, buy them by the pound!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Capt Bob from Medina, OH on Friday, June 26, 2015Repeat multiple purchaser. These are inexpensive and useful. Many were kept for my personal and professional uses. They are great biners useful for technical rescue and sport climbing. They are also part of my jump pack, with me and my vehicle 24/7. Many were gifted to my children and Scouts for establishing their own gear cache's.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Higher load rating - nice to have 'just in case'Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Washington on Thursday, May 28, 2015I'm not a climber but caribiners have so many uses. I carry them in my backpack and use them for gear hangers. Wanted something better than the cheap China caribiners that are available at the big box stores - these sure fit the bill! These are solid built but light in weight so I don't mind throwing them in my pack. Many times I use them to clip of gear to my pack or hang my pack from a rope to keep it off the ground and using a caribiner is very convenient.
Got a few ow these types because I like the way the load will be distributed away from the gate. I don't plan on stressing these caribiners anywhere near their load capacity, but it nice to know they are well built and would support me if needed.
