    I purchased this for attaching a harness to the steel cables at Half Dome. These carabiners worked perfectly for the purpose. It was quick and easy to clip and unclip to the cables.

  • Big gate, but snags

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I bought a bunch of these when I first started climbing many years ago and have to come to hate them. The design that allows for a large gate opening also makes these snag when unclipping. When making a desperate clip, the last thing you want is to have your carabiner get snagged. If you just want it to keep your keys on a belt loop, you still want to avoid this biner as it snags there, too. I love all of my other Omega Pacific biners, but the Omegalite 4.0 was a dog.
