Orage Amanda Ski Jacket - Insulated (For Women)

I love the fit. It's great that the hood adjusts so that you can see with your peripheral vision. A lot of hoods with fur restrict your visibility. I would not have found anything like this near where we live without costing a fortune. Perfect for skiing. I would have liked the MP3 pocket to be accessible on the outside of my jacket for skiing.

I ordered this jacket based mainly on the reviews from other users. It lives up to my expectations! I am 5'-4" and 117 pounds so I ordered an extra small. It fits perfectly! I especially love the inner knit lining near the end of the sleeves. It creates a great wind barrier with ski gloves. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the furry hood, but it was 8 degrees yesterday on the ski slopes and snowing. My head was toasty warm! My only "con" to this jacket is that I can't zip it up all the way because that part is too small (I guess). It will zip up below my chin, but then it won't zip any further. All in all, great jacket that fits beautifully and I would not hesitate to recommend.

I bought this coat for my 14 year old daughter. We live in Wisconsin and she skis, and I really didn't want to have to get 2 coats (one for skiing and one for every day). This is a little longer than most ski jackets, but not so long that it interferes with skiing, and it has lots of features she loves (snow-skirt, inner fleece cuffs, lots of pockets). It's also super warm for the really cold weather we have here. And best of all it looks totally cute on. She gets compliments from other girls and adults. If she didn't own it, I would get one for myself. It is not bulky at all - not compared to down, and in fact I was worried that it wouldn't be warm enough. But the insulation is great.

I bought (3) jackets total. Returned the DC and Marker. This Orage Jacket was the best fitting and very well made. I purchased an XS. I am 5'-3" and 120lbs and the sleeves were not too long. It is very flattering on and the color is as pictured. I was worried about buying an XS but I have enough room to move around without any restriction. I bought this to go skiing/snowboarding for the first time. So I'll have to see how wind resistant, waterproof and breathable it really is.

The price on this jacket was great-- so much less expensive than on pretty much any other site i checked. I love the furry hood trim, and some of the other details are really useful, like the little retractable line that pulls out from inside just under the snow skirt to store your lift pass, or the fleece inner cuffs which fit perfectly and are attached higher up the arms for more freedom of movement. I got the Iron color, which is a really nice gray. My one complaint is sizing. I am 5'6", 115lbs, and really narrow, but in european sizes (like Marmot) I generally need one above the smallest size or the product will be too short. So I ordered the XS, and it's just barely alright, but I could definitely have used a size down. I'll keep it only because I really like the jacket and I can't seem to find the XXS in stock anywhere anymore.

This jacket looks very nice and keeps you very warm can't wait to take it on the slopes. Plenty of pockets and the hood is removable for a more casual look. My partner is a size 6-8 in Australia and the size xxs fits her perfectly. Highly recommend Sierra Trading post.

Stylish and functional! My teenage daughter LOVES it!

I am yet to use this jacket as it is summer here in Australia but am heading to Switzerland shortly. Well made good quality and expect it will do the job. Has all of the necesary pockets etc for goggles, ski passes etc. I was not confident with US sizing but the XS is a good fit and I am Australian size 6-8.
