I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY SON WHO LOST HIS ORAGE JACKET THAT I BOUGHT LAST YEAR. I HAD TO BUY THIS WITH THE ADVICE OF HIS OLDER BROTHER AND WAS WORRIED HE WOULDN'T LIKE IT BECAUSE HE'S VERY PARTICULAR. HE LOVED IT (AND SO DID ALL OF HIS SKIING/SNOWBOARDING BUDDIES). ONE OF THEM WANTED TO BUY THE SAME JACKET BUT MY SON SAID ABSOLUTELY NOT. LOADS OF DETAILS, LIGHTWEIGHT BUT VERY WARM. GREAT FOR THE SLOPES AND HE EVEN WEARS IT TO SCHOOL IN THIS COLD WISCONSIN WEATHER

Great Jacket and VERY VERY warm. I ski with just a t-shirt underneath sometimes. I am 6'3" 225 and the xl is just a little big but not bad. The cool ax zipper pull did break off right after I recived it so I had to put a new loop on but the rest of the coat is very well made.

    • Chest Size: Feels too big
    • Cons: A Little Big, Bulky, Very Heavy

Apart from Orage there just aren't that many fashionable ski Jackets I can wear on the town as well as on the slopes. And in Japan, where one of the travel options is to take a bullet train right up to in front of a ski resort, that's a huge plus. I find Orage is designed right, priced right and functional, and offers me a choice of not standing out like a sore thumb when I come down from the slopes. The problem is the zippers. Now, mind you, this is probably true of many American and Canadian ski wear, but the zippers are of a sub-standard quality compared to most European and Japanese brands, generally speaking. Fix that, and Orage would truly be my best choice for the money.
    • Best Uses: Both slope and town use
    • Cons: Poor quiality zippers
    • Pros: Designed and priced right
