Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by J to the T from Breckenridge, CO on Saturday, April 2, 2011I use the jacket for snowboarding here in Breckenridge and love it. The size is great and the extras on the jacket are fantastic. I use the goggle case to store my camera and love the pocket placement and everything. The thing I absolutely hate the most is the velcro'd connections on the front and pockets. I hate it. I can see why someone with gloves on would like it, but since I usually ride with only my liners, I'd rather have metal fasteners that aren't going to wear out in a couple of years. I've had my last ski jacket for almost nine years now. I still gave it a five b/c it is a great jacket and you can hardly find one with metal fasteners these days anyway. I highly recommend this for yourself and for a gift.
- Best Uses: Skiing, Snowboarding, Winter wear
- Cons: Velcro'd connections
- Pros: Bottle opener, Gaitored sleeve cuffs, Goggle bag, Great insulation, Great luxuries, Length is perfect, Love the colors
Verified Buyer Reviewed by "B" from central illinois on Sunday, March 20, 2011We bought the jacket for our 12 yr old son and he loves it! Haven't seen another one on the slopes that looks like this jacket. Jackets length is rather long and can be a little combersome when getting on the lifts.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mountain Man from Edwards, Colorado on Thursday, March 10, 2011Bought the jacket for my teenage son. He loves it and helped pick it out.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by BabySlopes from Boston. MA on Wednesday, March 9, 2011The jacket is the perfect ski jacket. Waterproof, windproof, lightweight, warm, easy to clean etc. I used this jacket to ski in -2 degree weather, heavy snow, sleet, 50 mile per hour wind gusts. It took it all.
- Best Uses: Skiing
- Cons: none
- Pros: AWESOME PATTERNS, Lightweight, Warm
Verified Buyer Reviewed by BigVoiceJack from BigBadPhilly, PA on Wednesday, March 9, 2011I've been looking for a cool and waterproof snowboard jacket that caught my eye for a long time now and didn't want to spend $150+ dollars on it.
I found this jacket and jumped on it just based on it's looks and the fact it's made by Orage, a well respected winter gear maker.
I'm 6'2" and 220lbs with long arms and wide shoulders so I wasn't sure if I was an XL or XXL so I ordered both and tried them both on.
The XL fit perfectly so I returned the XXL.
This is NOT a shell. It's got some good insulation so I could see myself just wearing a layer or two underneath and keeping quite warm on the slopes.
It has tons of pockets and is really well made, ie the zippers, pockets, hood, etc.
So happy with this jacket. Highly recommend it.
- Best Uses: Skiing, Snowboarding
- Cons: Nothing love it
- Pros: Cool looking, Detachable hood, Really well made, Warm, Well sized
Answer A large would fit even with layers.
