Orca Apex 2 Triathlon Wetsuit - Full Sleeve (For Men)

Great suit. Smooth, flexible, superb fit!

After a coldwater IM last year I decided it was time to upgrade to a full sleeve from a sleeveless. I've tested the suit repeatedly in the pool and in open water (Yes, it was tested in December and January in Georgia -- water temp low 50's.) With a neoprene cap it's plenty warm for swimming at that temp for 2.4. It's faster than the sleeveless (estimated 5-8%) possibly due to the added bouyancy. ( I took it on vacation in the Bahamas in February--my family almost killed me for training...) I went swimming when everyone else didn't want to go in and kept going until I started to get motion sickness from the 8' swells. In the Apex I still felt confident and safe (albeit nauseated) for 2 miles of rough open water swimming. No shoulder fatigue. I expect this year I'll break a few swim PR's. You can't beat the price for this high end suit.

I'm 5'10" and weigh 190 with a 42 inch chest. A bit chunky. No way did I fit in the size 8 though I fit the parameters. Zipping was impossible. It looked like a good suite.

Top end suit for great price. I'm 180lbs, 6', 43" chest, size 8 too small, size 9 just right. If you have broad shoulders or bigger chest, size up, in general good to add 15lbs to the size chart for best fit indication. Per feedback from Orca, not much break-in strech. Adds great bouyancy and improves swim time.

I've only taken a few swims with it but was impressed with it's feel right away. Super boyant and really flexable through the shoulders. I was at the top of the fit scale and have heard of some ppl having problems w/ fit but the smaller size worked just fine for me.

I do triathlons frequently through the spring and summer. This product is a great buy. It offers all of the features one needs to be competitive. The different thicknesses in the suit offer flexibility or flotation where needed. This suit is one of the top you can buy in the sport. It is hard to impossible to find it at a price comparable to what it is being offered here.

Fit well, no chaffing, I didn't even use any bodyglide the first time and it felt great. I am getting into triathlons this year and I think this suit will make a huge difference in my training and events.
