Orca Sonar Triathlon Wetsuit - Full Sleeve (For Men)

This wetsuit is an excellent value. It's super comfy, warm, and allows you to swim efficiently because of the 3-2-1 construction

I loved the look and feel of this wetsuit but it was REALLY small. I am a skinny female wearing a male wetsuit, 5'7" and 118 lbs so I was at the lower end of the size and I could not even get it up to my shoulders. I returned and ordered another brand male wetsuit in the same size range and it fit perfectly. Love the ease of exchange!

I'm 6'1", 165 pounds and this fits me perfectly. In other words it is nice and tight, like a second skin. The first time you try on any new wetsuit it WILL be very snug. If you are unfamiliar with putting one on, look to someone else for advice. Wetsuits are more complicated to put on than your clothing and assistance with zipping it up the first few times is necessary. It loosens up a little with use, especially when it has been fully saturated in the water. People come in all shapes and sizes, but I'm sure that many of the people writing negative reviews about the "small size" simply aren't familiar with A) putting on a wetsuit and B) how it should feel.

Firstly- this is the 2009 Orca Sonar model. Secondly- I'm 5'7" have a 37.5" chest and weigh 135lbs. That puts me right in the middle of a Size 6, except below the recommended weight. Fits perfectly in length and chest, but perhaps a tad loose around the middle. So- unlike many reviews- I'd say the size description from Orca is right on! These swimming wetsuits are supposed to be snug, but flexible. I've only tried out a handful of wetsuits, but the Sonar is a solid performer. Good bouyancy, stretchy panels in all the right places, easy to get off quickly- does the job...For a great price.

Suit too small, I jumped from size 5 to size 6 but it is still small I am 5'4'' 138 Lbs.

Bought this wetsuit for an upcoming open water Triathlon. The 1st thing I should note is that this is the 2008 Orca Sonar, not their latest model. Which, given the price is still a stellar deal. Fit info: I'm 5'7" and 135lb with a 37.5" chest. I am right in the middle of Size 6 in height and chest, and below the weight range. I swam in a size 5 at a local shop, and it was too tight in the chest and snug everywhere else. The Size 6 is perfect in length and chest, and pretty good elsewhere, but there's clearly more room for stretch if I gain 15 lbs (unlikely). Arm movement was fine with no chafing, wrinkling or restriction. I'd say that Orca's sizing chart is right on the money for height and chest size. These suits require some technique to property get them on your body. Performance: this suit took 3 min off my regular 1000m swim time (normally 19m)- so it works! There are probably newer, faster better suits out there... but not for this price.

I'm a woman who has to buy men's wetsuits since women's aren't wide enough across the shoulders. The chest measurements seem to be perfect for this suit, but the leg measurements are way off. I paid attention to the other reviews and ordered up a size. The chart claims I should be a 4/5 so I got the 6. I'm 5'2" and the 6 was barely long enough for my stubby legs. So order up and be pleasantly suprised. Easy on/off, very warm, good suit.

It is my first wetsuit for a triathlon and I think it's well made. I've had other wetsuits for surfing, but by far this one has more buoyancy, and stretches well on every stroke. I am please with this product, it's actually considered for intermediate Triathletes by Orca, but at a price like this it can not be beat. Also, one thing to remember is that Orca runs small, so get yourself a bigger size. I was supposed to be a size 6 and ended up with a size MT.
