I couldn't figure out what was bugging me about the way they looked. Then it hit me, the shoe blended in with my jeans too well because of the blue laces, and the BIG white toe stood out tremendously. I changed to white laces. Problem solved!

Not the most comfortable -- maybe a tad narrow -- but I've been wearing them around the house to break them in. This is a warm weather shoe (in Michigan, anyhow) so hopefully they'll be broken in by springtime. These should be fine for knocking around town, but definitely not a running or hiking shoe.

A Division I basketball coach who will not be named complimented me on these "kicks." High praise. Really stylish, in a retro way. Not quite as comfortable as I hoped (out of the box, anyway), but generally love these shoes. Would definitely buy again.
