The story of Original Penguin began in 1955 when salesman Abbot Pederson purchased a stuffed penguin in NYC and took it home with him to Minneapolis. I couldn't figure out what was bugging me about the way they looked. Then it hit me, the shoe blended in with my jeans too well because of the blue laces, and the BIG white toe stood out tremendously. I changed to white laces. Problem solved!
