Origo Traverse Peak Sport Watch

Bought this for my husband. We are hikers and he can't wait to use this when we go to colorado.

Be prepared for a larger watch face than Timex Ironman watches. Easy to shuttle between modes. Temp guage worked for a few days but now cannot get any reading at all. Altimeter seems fairly accurate. All and all a well-made instrument.

STP was smart to add a new battery, watch was dead on arrival. Had to replace the battery and the time reset to 2007....means this is an old model. Not a con unless it is obsolete, and with technology that happens in 6 months much less 4 yrs. I also didn't have a back light on my particular watch and the manual made no mention of a back light, even though the description clearly stated there was a soft blue back light. Ultimately, the inaccurate temp, altitude, and lack of a back light made this watch a virtually useless but attractive time piece. I provide austere location security and rescure services on a per contract basis so my time piece needs to be accurate and high quality. Back to Suunto I go!

The EL display is very fast. It turns on and off very quickly. The battery came dead. Fortunately Sierra Trading send a spare.
