The vest is a gem! You need to be a person that appreciates crewel to enjoy the colors and the work in this vest even if it is machine done. This is a straight fit with quality workmanship.

This vest is very pretty so use for work or going out. Since the embroidery is wool, if you brush a bare arm over it, you get a rough feeling.

I'll layer this with a collarless top for work. The neck is too close-fitted for a collared shirt.

About Orvis

Charles F. Orvis opened a fly-fishing shop in an elegant brick and marble building on the main street of a small town in Vermont. The year was 1856. Today Orvis is a bit bigger, but they still pride themselves on quality products that are steeped in authenticity and desired by discerning customers. Orvis will always be about fly fishing. And it's also about products that enhance the country lifestyle... like gear and accessories for wing shooting, creature comforts for dogs, and classic apparel for men and women. Orvis says 150 years is a long time to be in business...and a "pretty good start."
