“Warm, Luxurious Comforter”

“I have a dog that sleeps with us so needed something that I would not have to get dry cleaned in case of dirty feet or accident. This has a removeable cover that is waterproof on one side (would have given it 5 stars if it was both sides). You just have to take off the cover and wash the cover w/out having to worry about the comforter underneath. I have not used it yet to know how well it really works but from what I have seen should be fine for me. It is very luxurious feeling and warm. My husband is always cold and I am always hot so for us this will probably be year round (on his side of the bed)but it may be too warm for some. I really needed a king size but what I did was take the 2 covers off and sew them side by side. Then put the comforters back in and then inside duvet cover and it worked just fine. Saved a lot of money also. The only other place that I could find this Orvis was in Orvis, UK but it was going to be over $500 for king size + international shipping. I looked at other sites (mostly incontenance sites) but the waterproof seemed more like plastic and comments about noise. This one is not like that as it is soft and does not make noise. It may not work to contain liquid over a long period but I have not found that out yet and don't anticipate that being a problem for me.”
