    No instructions for measuring that I could find. I measured his chest area but the jacket is about 8 inches too long. Will have to return.

    THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN THE PERFECT SOLUTION TO THE TICK AND MOSQUITO PROBLEM. I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THE SIZING AND THERE WASN'T INFO AVAILABLE ON WHAT THE NUMBERS LISTED MEANT. I ORDERED THE LARGEST AVAILABLE (20). WE HAVE A LARGE GERMAN SHEPARD AND THIS DIDN'T EVEN COME CLOSE TO ATTACHING AROUND HIS NECK. I THINK THE 20 MUST BE THE NECK SIZE IN INCHES. TOO BAD IT DIDN'T WORK FOR US, BUT FOR ANYONE WITH SMALLER DOGS IT WOULD BE A GREAT PRODUCT.
