    The slit up the back of this skirt came to my thighs. So while it is modest from the front, I had to sew the back closed quite a bit before I could wear it. This made walking more difficult because the skirt is not all that wide at the bottom.

    I was surprised at the poor quality, especially for the price. Even on sale, this is too much. I made something like this in high home economics; it's considered the simplest pattern, and I got a D for messing up the waistband, or for "effort," depending on how you look at it. This won't last through the long (California) hot season.
