Orvis Whipstitch Coat - Faux Shearling (For Women)

This is one beautiful coat! The fabric is so soft and touchable, comfortable, and comforting. I normally take an XL, which I ordered in this coat. It's roomy enough to wear over a sweater. And in mine, the hood is made of the same weight material as the coat (another reviewer had a different experience), so it should be great in cold winds. This coat makes me look forward to winter! I bought this coat for walking my dogs in the neighborhood around dusk. It's great: warm, easy-care, and light-colored. People driving cars can see us!

I was very happy when I received my new coat. When quantities were available I purchased the brown Orvis Whipstitch Coat. It fix wonderful on me, the color rich, the style fabulous, it feels silky-soft, and very cozy. It looks like an expensive coat from Macy's. The only problem I have with the coat the hood is flimsy. It won’t stay in place especially when the wind is blowing. The hood need to have the same thickness as the coat, and slightly roomier. I let my workmate wear the coat and she said the same thing about the hood. If you don’t need the hood the coat is great it will keep you warm, and it’s stylish. It you need the hood like I do in Colorado Springs (snow) you must come up with away of working with the hood. Overall, besides the flimsy hood the coat is marvelous, and I think you will be happy with it. It said, machine washable I haven’t tried that as of today. This will be very interesting to see after machine washing if it still keeps its sheen and luster.
