4.0 out of 5 stars. Outback Trading Snow Canyon Down JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Dave from KY on Friday, July 10, 2015I bought an XL size, but it was more like a large. It fits, very warm and a great price. It will be a lightweight, but warm winter coat.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Lightweight and warmVerified Buyer Reviewed by St. Louis Woman from Missouri on Sunday, March 1, 2015This is a great, lightweight jacket. Amazingly warm, considering how light it is. Good for those days when it's too cold for just a fleece but not so cold that you need a longer length and a hood. I love the raspberry color; it's not too bright and looks feminine and fashionable. This jacket was a great addition to my wardrobe. It's become my "go to" coat. It's especially good for shopping when I don't want to be encumbered, want to be warm when outside but not too hot in the store, because it's easy to zip open. The only drawback was that a couple of times I did wish there was a hood because this jacket is warm enough for cold days when one needs a head covering. (But Sierra Trading Post sells a lot of cute winter hats, too!)

4.0 out of 5 stars. Seems fine for a light weight downVerified Buyer Reviewed by Kar from MD on Friday, February 27, 2015Would have liked a hood. Nice color blue and worth keeping even though XL is still a bit tight around the middle.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Light and WarmVerified Buyer Reviewed by Judy from Colorado on Friday, December 19, 2014This is a great jacket. It is light, warm and well made. There is a two way zipper - opens both ways so you can zip up from the bottom if necessary. Originally I ordered the Large then got scared that I had made an error and also ordered the XL. Tried both to determine which to keep. I usually wear a 12-14 and the Large was ample through the shoulders but slightly tight through the chest and narrower in the hips. I went with the XL and am satisfied that it is not to large and very comfortable. I usually order petite so was worried that the sleeves would be too long. They have a stretch fabric around the sleeve opening and as a result it cinches the sleeves enough so they don't drag over my hands. I like the contrasting lining - guessing that it is the exact color of the other jacket in burgundy. I liked the fact that the jacket is understated not bright like so many of the other down jackets sold. I would say that you should order by the measurements not the size as the Large size is listed as 10-12 where the X-Large is 14-16. The jacket is comfortable in temps in the 30's and 40's and could go lower depending on the under clothing. It is also quite downproof, as I have seen no down poking out. Wore it on a scooter in 40's and it was warm.
