excellent vest for cool, dry conditions; will use it regularly next fall and winter

Longer than some and warmer than many! 28" down center back from below collar on the 2XL. Double layer gives it good body as well as warmth - no creeping up under a long back pack. WARM hand pockets too. 2 very minor things keep it from a PREFECT score - First, there's a couple inch wide facing made of the navy fleece that runs along the zipper on the inside edge, and it isn't sewn down. If it HAD been - this could almost have been used as a reversible vest. (Should be no problem mechanically - just looks a bit unfinished when worn open.) Second, it could have used an extra flap under the zipper in the collar area to keep zipper from touching your chin - but not a major drawback with such nice dense fleece doing it pretty well alone. Bulkier than some fleece vests for layering - but SO worth it for added warmth. GREAT alone when it's not super cold too! On sale an AMAZING bargain.

This looks good and is heavier than others of its type. It's keeping me toasty while working in the cold, wet spring weather. The pockets are a little weird since they are loose on the inside and that makes an odd, semi useful inside pocket. I too, thought from the construction that the vest should be reversible, but it's OK that it's not.

I gave this gift for Father's day for the fall and winter months. He loved the look, feel and price!
