“Packs are to the outdoorsman like shoes are to a fashion diva - you cannot have too many of them and each has a specific use that the ignorant masses cannot appreciate. So packs? yeah i got a bunch of them - 8 or so...but i needed a new one to replace my 20 year old around town pack that needed to be able to carry lapto, misc electornics, and papers to/from the office as well as gym gear plus easily handle a weekend's worth of clothes for overnight trips. Most packs i looked at were too much (too many straps; dumb pockets; capacity w/o adequate support) or too little (silly little pockets for lip balm, etc.) or cost more than i wanted to spend. This pack was highly affordable - has a nice mix of pockets without too much fluff (some there but not too bad). Plus neutral color and a comfortable fit. Only compalint so far is length of many of the straps is excessive - do companies think their packs are more impressive if there are yards of webbing all over the place? must be.....”
