this pack was perfect for traveling in europe. if packed light even the pickiest airline will allow it to be used for hand luggage. side pockets make pack puffier but are great for packing stuff you know you'll want access to while traveling. a few more key buckles would make this pack perfect. around the "lid" to help cinch it down would have been helpful. not for an avid hiker, but all in all a great pack for the price

This pack is nice and comfortable. I especially like the rain fly. However, it is a top loading pack which makes it difficult to get to anything packed on the bottom. A two way zipper down the front of this pack would make it perfect.

This was really poor quality. There was an extra pad that dug right into the shoulder blades, and the padding was not foam but some crunchy cheap organic stuff.

The Outbound Solstice is a great all around pack; good for gear intensive day uses like climbing or back-country skiing, weekend long backpacking, and long distance travel. Its greatest virtue is its simplicity, allowing for versatility and maximum storage capacity.
