Outdoor Products Cyclone Hydration Pack

I did not buy this product from Sierra Trading Post. However, it was exactly what I was looking for in a hydration pack. No bells or whistles. Problem is, the valve leaks, the strap has torn, and anything that goes into the bag with the bladder gets soaked. As an asthmatic, I need to carry my inhaler, and it's always a good idea to have ID on hand, and keys. I can't find a replacement valve anywhere! The bag is quite comfortable for me, though, and I have worn it hiking and biking. I'm sure that my toddler chewing on the valve didn't help, but it IS a BITE valve. I've not ever had this problem with Platypus bladders (and their valves are easily replaceable). Alas, though the bag fits well, its job is to hold water and a few necessities, and it drips all over the place and can't hold anything but the bladder.

I bought two of these for me and my girlfriend; we used the bladder separately and BOTH bladders leaked. I am returning them immediately.

Excellent product. I had to learn to be carful to get the lid sealled correctly but it has worked great. The evening the pack arrived I cleaned the bladder according to the instructions. The next day I wore it on an extended wilderness search and rescue operation. WIth long rough hikes. Worked great. We found the lost man, too. I have also worn it for 4 days of urban bike patrols. Enough insulation to keep the water cool in 90 + degree days. And I've only had the pack 10 days.

Easy to refill with wide opening. Can be used alone on attached to an internal or external frame pack.

Good design. Leaky valve.Disappointing

Both the fill cap and the suction valve leak. I would like to send the product back, but do not have my return authrization any longer.

Love it. I bought four, one for each memeber of the family.

The bladder makes the water have a "plastic" taste. After a few uses hiking, the chest strap ripped from the side. The taste did not matter to me so much, but the ripped chest strap made hiking tough. Regular use of the pack was good, it was light and pretty comfortable. The wide mouth of the bladder allowed for easy filling and cleaning.

This pack is a great deal. The water does pick up the taste of the plastic tubing but it's not overpowering and will likely dissipate with time and use. It's fits comfortably and holds plenty of water for an aggressive day hike.

Nice, simple pack. Pack small items in the bladder compartment for additional storage.
