I was looking for something very basic, without a lot of goofy straps, bells and whistles. This is it! Enough room for snack bars, trail mix, a jacket, medical kit, and keys. I use the headphone port for my emergency whistle! The two water bottles are just what I need for the 2-4 hour mountain hiking I do.

Great companion for a 10 mile hike in the woods. Two sturdy water bottles and plenty of room to carry the essentials.

Great bag for day hiking out in nature or sight-seeing around town. Lots of room - I packed: cell phone, camera, gps, mini-first aid kit, and a small wallet. Plus, 2 bottles for water gives you enough for a long trip for one person - or a shorter trip for two. Even with the weight of 2 full bottles of water, the bag is very comfortable and easy to wear. Straps adjust easily and and are plenty long enough.

i used these (i bought 2) for hiking. we took 5 and 6 mile hikes and these packs were great for water, camera, keys, snack, toilet paper. i was even able to put my extra shirt in it. we also took these packs to our "hike" down fishing spots with water, camera, martinis, sammies and toilet paper. they worked great. the absolute ONLY problem we had was that the containers DO NOT HAVE A POP TYPE TOP! i cant hike and sip (i would fall off the mountain!), you really have to stop and unscrew and drink. however, i just changed out thier bottles for standard water bottles (which stayed nice and secure) and used 'their" containers for our "martinis" for fishing. worked out just fine!!!!

It is too bulky. Needs to be narrow enough to prevent arms from touching water bottles when walking.
