Not bad for a cheap thermos

The labeling markets this as an insulated water bottle, but the fine print says it's a vacuum bottle (i.e. thermos), so we use them to transport an extra serving of hot coffee to the office each morning. Keeps the coffee hot (well, hot enough) for the one-hour commute and another hour or so on the desk. The wide mouth makes them easy to clean. The tethered lid might be good if you're using this as a water bottle, but I may cut them off as they make handling a bit awkward when empty. Try pre-heating (or pre-cooling) with hot (or cold) tap water so your beverage doesn't have to do the work of bringing the stainless steel up (or down) to temperature.
