Pretty much can always get in to a men's medium - not a chance with this glove. It LOOKS fantastic esp. for use with axes or staffs. There is a very nice pad down the side of the palm between the small finger and wrist to stop "strap wear" and/or pad the hand from the "rock face". It does NOT appear to be a very warm glove - maybe good for spring/fall climbing. Very tacky palm to assist with grip. One person could just get the glove on, but didn't want it; they said the fit was a perfect form of the hand with no loose spots or overlapping fabric; it stretches with your movement. Really wished it would have fit! Bummer.

at first, I thought I bought the wrong size. I know these were supposed to be unisex, but I couldn't get them past muy knuckles, and these were an xl. I do have big hands, but these are the smallest xl I've ever seen. I can't fairly rate thier function, because there's no way I could get them on my hands.

Very dissapointed with the sizing of these gloves. Got the extra large so as not to have problems and they were more medium to large. Had to trade gloves to friend instead of losing money on shipping product back.

These gloves fit TIGHT. I am usually a tight medium/loose large and have a tough time getting the size large on my hands. They are thin but will keep busy hands warm while climbing, just make sure you carry a spare pair of belay gloves or mitts to warm up when you aren't active. The grip on the palm is nice but not as "sticky" on the ice as I expected. Don't plan on holding on to any ice or snow with them as there is NO traction on those surfaces. Tool handles, screws, and rock are like glue though. They have their purpose and excel in that niche but I will probably switch back to something with a treated leather palm for a better overall glove.

Was looking forward to receiving the gloves. While I'm sure that they'd be a good glove, I usually wear a large glove size. I ordered an XL and they felt like a medium. Order at least one size larger than usual.

I am a BIG Outdoor Research fan, and despite the shortcomings of this product, I remain one today. This glove is so close...so close to being a great product. Unfortunately, the idea and design seemed to miss one another in this winter glove. The size is just too small, construction is just ok, the velcro tabs are too stiff and probably should have been longer for greater adjustment capabilities. The cuffs are a bit too short and there is little to no isulating qualities. That being said however, the gloves will relax a bit and allow some movement and decent dexterity when making that sketched out clip. No glove on the market today will grip your tool any better, especially in drippy, wet, springlike conditions. Padding is well placed and protects those areas that typically can take a beating..particularly when one is starting out in the sport. Despite OR's many homeruns in the past, the Alibi Glove falls far short of the warning track. I hope that they don't scrap the entire idea though because I really think that they are onto something here with this product. Some tweaking in fit, construction and materials and this could be the ice climbers glove of choice.

These gloves have a heavy duty TPR cuff that makes it really tough to put on - not only is it too tough to put on, I usually wear a size L and I could barely even squeeze my hand into these gloves. They were so small that they made my hands pulsate from cutting off the circulation. Also, there are a lot of clunky seams throughout the fingers that are troubling.
