I ordered these for my 11 yr. old daughter. Even for her the fingers on the woman's small were too short. In my opinion these gloves were incorrectly designed.

I ordered these for my 12 year old daughter but they were too small for her. The fingers were too short , the wrist was so tight she could hardly get her hand in them. I sent them back

I was looking for warm, windproof, waterproof gloves for outdoor work and hiking. These fit the bill fine. The cuff if fairly long and cinch down snug to keep wet and snow out. The tighten and release cords are quick and easy to use.

This gloves feels perfect for closed handed activities: skiing, tubing, ect. The fingers are short and there is little extension for finger mobility. They feel really warm in the closed position. They are just not what I need for an all purpose winter glove with plenty of mobility. I am returning them, but I would recommend skiers to try this.

Everywhere I looked (including military-related supply) these gloves got great reviews, and they potentially have good dexterity despite being waterproof/lined. Sometimes I can wear a women's L but not in these - the thumb is way too short! Ended up getting the OR Snowline (also Sierra TP and cheaper but no liner glove) in a men's M and adding Mountain Hardwear Powerstretch liners, which might actually be better, since the liners in the Arete were the one thing most people replaced cause they weren't real great. We'll see how they do when it's really cold again...

I wanted gloves that were warm, waterproof, windproof, and covered a decent portion of my arm for working around my home during the winter....AND while hiking. These gloves are just what I was looking for. They are long and offer a snug fit around the arm with a pull of the cord. The release is just as easy. Only hitch is that I have long fingers and the medium finger length was a bit short.I exchanged them for the large. That size works perfectly, and there is just enough wiggle room that will allow for extra liners if necessary.

Gloves are a snug medium. The liner is great in the gloves and fits perfectly. When the liner is in the gloves they are a snug medium but I'm not returning because I think the large would be too big. Gloves can be worn with/without the liner - there is some insulation in the gloves without the liner. The gloves are much more flexible without the liner but decent with it. It hasn't been bitter cold or wet to try them out but I think they were a great buy.

Great gloves by OR and for the price can't be beat. Don't forget though that they are designed to be worn over an insulating glove. Fleece gloves of 200 weight are about perfect, the fit is designed for them.
