I have had a lightweight down shell that I have been wearing for years. I wanted to replace it as it did not have a hood. This is the best item for the price that I have found. I have already worn it as a layering piece to the gym several times since I received it. It fits true to size. I order... Read More

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jennifer from Michigan on Thursday, February 4, 2016I bought this to replace an 8 year old Lands End coat that I loved. I searched around for about a month trying to find the right combination of style, fill weight and color. This coat had it all. I was worried that it wouldn't be that warm because it is so light and packable, but it stood up to the wind and cold and rain the other day just fine.
I only wish it was a bit longer.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Deb from Kansas City on Tuesday, January 26, 2016I am impressed with this coat! It's warm and stylish and I love the aqua color. I'm 5'8 & 140lbs and the medium fits great.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Philly gardener from PA on Sunday, November 1, 2015I am 5'4" and usually wear a size 6-8 in women's clothing. For outerwear I generally get a size Medium, which is what I ordered in this. The fit was big and boxy and not flattering. Perhaps a small would have fit better? But I ordered a few different jackets to try on and found a Lowe Alpine jacket that was perfect. So this one is going back.
Reviewed by runsinwoolies from Chicago on Wednesday, April 8, 2015I bought this to wear in the morning to keep me warm when I bus or ride a bike to work (yay that Chicago has a bike share company!) and then stuff in a backpack when I run home; it has worked out very nicely for that, and I find myself wearing it at times other than that as well. I bought the pink- I figured I want to be seen in traffic- and it's a bright pink but pretty. I'm 5'4" and 130# and the small fits over a base layer and my softshell-ish running jacket with no problem. I'm a little concerned that once I'm back in shape the small will be too big, it's a bit baggy now over just one layer. But if that happens I'll probably buy another one in XS. And oh the luxury of three zip pockets! And it is warm- I can wear it over just a t-shirt and be okay when the temps are in the 40s. If it was perfect the hood would be able to be packed away in the collar.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Ceeweed from California on Wednesday, March 11, 2015Love it! I've always been a fan of patagonias down sweaters and jackets, but they have never changed the styling. I was looking for something new and this fit the bill! Fits true to size, I bought a medium, I'm 5'8" and 130lbs. It fits loosely so I can layer under neath. It will be great for riding on child mornings or skiing on spring days.
Answer XS is 23" long.
Answer Sorry there is not a temperature rating. Most manufacturers do not have temperature ratings for their garments or footwear due to the number of factors that affect how warm a garment may keep you.
