I have been looking for a all around jacket to be able to use both outdoor and around town. This jacket is perfect for this. This is the 8th jacket I have tried and it was the only one I loved! I am 6'3" and 200lbs and the XL fits perfectly. I had my dad try it on one time and he loved it so much he...

I'm 6'1" & 230lbs and the XL fits great. The sleeves were just a tad long but they provide excellent mobility and range of motion. That combined with the fact that it's a little thick for a soft shell and has great pit zips makes this a perfect jacket for being active outdoors in the winter. Skiing, hiking, or just walking the dog on a cold windy night. This jacket covers a wide range of uses and has the ability to cool you down quickly so you don't sweat too much.

Even if layered with other products bought for that purpose, this has such a poor fit that defies expectation; and invites all other jacket/coats I bought with the idea of layering from STPost to be returned together in one large box to be shed of them.
A major disappointment, as were my marmot precip, marmot threshold, and others already sent back... however I do well at random-chance discount + thrift stores.

Nice jacket. Purchased to replace my old, but incredible, Patagonia R4 jacket. I would have bought the new version of the R4 if they hadn't abandoned the hem drawstring...
The OR Aspect jacket has true to length sleeves, which I found lacking in another OR jacket I tried.
I appreciate the OR build quality -- well-taped seams, quality materials, durable zippers, and efficient pocket design.
It's a little stiff compared to my fleece, but that was expected. The windproofing is very good and I expect this to be my everyday winter jacket. The OR Aspect seems to achieve a good balance of weight and warmth.

I bought this after winter was over, but I've worn it in 50 degree rain and found it surprisingly comfortable although it is clearly designed as a cold weather shell. The upper part is nearly hard shell-rainproof (no soaking through) and the breathable panels on the sides keep it from being too warm. The side zippers can then be opened to further vent heat. Fit allows a thin fleece underneath for extreme cold. Looking forward to using this in the backcountry this winter, though looks good for town wear too. Good value for the money.
