I have not had the opportunity to use these mitts yet. However, I am concerned about the thinness of the materials and whether this mitt will be windproof. This was described as a standalone handwear for the bitter cold. I am planning on using these for 30-40 degree downhill ski days. These will probably be fine for more active endeavors (x-ski, running). Not sure about downhill skiing.

I expected a warmer mitten since it was advertised as a stand alone mitten. They can stand alone but for colder temperatures and windy days, one needs to use these as liners with something else to stay really warm.

I bought these for my daughter who must walk a long distance as part of her daily commute and has problems with circulation in her hands in cold weather. She is thrilled with them. They really keep her hands warm and comfortable even though they are surprisingly thin and don't look like boxing gloves.

After searching for just the right running gloves, I was happy to receive these and call it, "mission accomplished". These gloves are indeed windproof, water resistant, and slick (much less bulky than many other gloves with equivalent warmth offerings). Also, they easily bunch up to fit in your winter coat pockets. At first I thought they wouldn't be sufficient for runs out in 20-30 degree F conditions, but it just takes a moment for the warmth of your hand to fill the mitten in order to provide warmth that will keep you outdoors for a while! I would recommend these gloves to any one interested in running, playing outdoors, or just walking around in the winter wonderland for extended periods of time.

I bought these as a secondary pair of warm mittens for the Minnesota winter -- they are thin, light and surprisingly very warm. I really like them

this is my second pair (I wear them as liners for running and I still get sweaty even in 15 degree weather so I needed a swap). I love these mittens. My fingers get too cold in gloves and was always on the prowl for mittens with grip - these are it! I wear them to play outdoor soccer in the early spring and late fall and have no issues with throw-ins! awesome!

It's nice to have a warm pair of mittens that are not too bulky to stuff in a pocket.

Much better than my gloves but when the temperature drops and the wind picks up you will need thin gloves under the mittens. My thumbs are almost always cold. They would make great mitten liners on really cold days.

We bought these for some lightweight, warm, compact mittens for backpacking at high altitudes in Colorado. Have not worn them but they seem to fit the bill.
