Verified Buyer Reviewed by Elena from Seattle on Friday, May 22, 2015This jacket was really great for the price. I don't know of another $139 retail $350 800 fill power alpine down jacket for women. It feels kind of cheap though and isn't as warm as I was hoping. It was an excellent buy if you can't afford a warmer nicer one.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Satoricat from Washington on Thursday, March 19, 2015I have not had a chance to use this on a trip yet but will say that I absolutely Love the fit, the packability is awesome, and the sleeves are long enough and than some for the first time ever on a down jacket. I was worried about some reviews I had read complaining that the look of the jacket was an appearance of being wet-perhaps with the other color options this is true but not with the black.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Libby from Aspen, CO on Monday, March 2, 2015This is a very functional and fashionable layering or outerwear piece. Extremely light and packable. Will keep me warm on my safari this summer! Is true to size, maybe a little roomy as compared to some out there. Plenty of room to layer under and move. The lacquer finish is rare in this type of piece, lending a high fashion touch.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Cold Feet Warm Heart from Alaska on Sunday, March 1, 2015This is my favorite coziest jacket! I love to wear it on the plane :) Also on outdoor excursions for hiking in snow, backcountry skiing, ice climbing and general AK adventuring. Highly recommended.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Amanda abroad from Texas on Tuesday, February 10, 2015I wanted a coat to stuff for backpacking and I thought this one was just a little too bulky but a great quality!
Answer Yes! It also fits around a ski helmet. This jacket great for all outdoor adventures.
Answer It has DWR finish that is water resistant. And if it is soaked it dries out well. I am not sure about any treatments... I have not hesitated to wear it in light rain or in wet snow or while ice climbing.
Answer This jacket is water resistant, it has DWR protection on it. The down is not treated.
