Outdoor Research Insight Jacket - Soft Shell (For Women)

This runs a bit small, but is great for the in between weather and as a layering piece. And a great deal since this was on sale. Such a good buy. Definitely recommend this over anything from North Face.

I prefer my clothing to be comfortable, casual and not restrictive. This jacket met all my requirements.

I ordered this jacket after reading reviews that the sleeves are long. I'm 5'11, normally wear a medium tall, and am thrilled that the sleeves ARE long enough for me. There were no mediums left so I had to order large. The medium would have been a better fit but I'm keeping the large and will just wear it on days that I need fleece underneath too. The body isn't as fitted as I hoped so it's not the most flattering jacket I have, but the fabric quality is fab, esp for the price. I'm going to keep my eye out for other Outdoor Research jackets now that I know that have long arms. : - D

Would have been great if the sleeves weren't binding

I read the other comments, and everyone complained about sleeves being too long. I'm 5'9'', with a rather large bust, so I ordered the large size and I think it fits perfectly. It's a cute modern cut, the sleeves aren't too long on me, and I can still wear a sweatshirt under it. As it turns to spring here in Chicago, I am a HUGE fan of it!!

Just a little big, but will be great for layering. Sleeves nice and long (I am 5'10".) Great jacket for the money.

I bought this jacket after purchasing a different style OR jacket. This one seems to run a bit smaller, but is still pretty nice for the price. It is perfect for spring/fall weather when you want to wear something a little warmer that isn't too heavy. As other people have said, the sleeves are pretty long, so if you are tired of having sleeves that are too short, a jacket like this is what you need.

This jacket is so light! It offers more warmth and protection from the wind than any sweater I've ever had, but is lighter and more flexible. I love it. It looks great, fits great, repels fluids (tomato juice as well as rain/snow - oops!), and is very effective against the wind. It breathes well enough that I never feel clammy and don't feel overheated when I walk inside from the cold.

the color pomegranate is really beautiful. unfortunately this jacket is not suitable for small tall. sleeve lenghts is perfect but body lenghts feels awfully short at 5'8". wonder how someone with 5'5" can live with the sleeve lenghts? proportions are way off. either sleeves will fit or lenghts will fit. I ordered size M (normally wear size S) according to some comments but size S would have been wide enough for me. true measures on size M armpit to armpit 48cm, lenghts from top of shoulder to hem 59cm, sleeves from shoulder 74cm, from armpit 57cm..hope this helps to find out if size can work for you.
