Outdoor Research Intuition Jacket - Waterproof Shell (For Women)

Haven't gotten a chance to test this jacket out yet but it seems very nice. I am 5''7" a size 8 36 bust/33ish hips and the Medium fit just fine-even room for some light layers. I ordered a large just to be safe and it was too big all around, especially in the arms.

The textures and fabrics of this jacket did not impress me. It may be functional, but there was no soft coziness to the jacket. it reminded me of the waterproof coats we all wore as schoolkids. Fabric felt cold and clammy just trying it on for 60 seconds. It's going back to STP. I'll try something else.

I purchased this jacket for skiing this winter. Ordered a size up so I could layer it with a fleece on the coldest of days. I was impressed with the jacket's features; high quality waterproof zippers, removeable hood, taped seams, and well-placed pockets. The sleeves are a little long, but they close at the wrists with velcro so it's not a big deal. The ONLY downside for me was the pit zips. They're nice and long, which is great for ventilation, but I would have preferred that they zip from the middle of the zipper rather than at one end or another. The blue / gray is a nice color - not too bold or trendy. The waist on the built in snow skirt is tight - I'll probably remove it unless it's a deep powder day (unusual here in New England). Overall a great jacket for the price.

great shades of violet for the fall/winter and outstanding quality. The sleeves are a little long since I am short but nothing unusal for me. Looking forward to taking this to Montana and Glacier in a few weeks. Outdoor research has always made the most durable clothes but added beautiful style with this jacket.

I was looking for the "one" jacket that I could take on extended international trips and use for spring skiing as well. This jacket has all the bells and whistles I was looking for: waterproof with watertight zippers, windproof, removable hood, removable powder skirt, 2-way pit zips, and a comfortable stretchy soft shell plus an attractive color. As others have mentioned, the sleeves are a bit long but they cinch tight so this is not a problem. Unfortunately, it is very slim in the hips (even in the XL), and not attractive on my more "mature" body. I have returned it and hope to find that perfect jacket elsewhere.

I was looking for a light rain jacket, not heavy or with heavy lining as so many are. I live in extreme North Florida, and for example today it is 102 degrees and thunderstorms are predicted. I wanted a much much lighter, but still waterproof rain proof jacket. Therefore, although there were a lot of things I liked about this jacket, including color, water resistance etc, I had to return it. At another time, on a trip to the North, I will probably regret not having it!

I knew Outdoor Research would be an excellent brand. As other posters commented, the outside shell is actually very soft. It's so very well made with all sorts of technical details thoughtfully included. And, it's shaped for a woman's figure, not a man's. This will be perfect for Northwest living where rain is practically constant. Thank you, Sierra, for offering it at such a wonderful price. I would not have been able to afford an Outdoor Research jacket at regular prices.

I got the purple coat. color is beautiful. great fit i am 36 25 35 I got the medium, which leaves room for my thick fleece and sweatshirt yet, fits great alone. I could have gone with a small and still been able to use a thin layer yet i wanted plenty of layering room for real cold weather and wind... sailing. very flattering fit with or with out layer. if ur a little bigger below than my 35 dont worry plenty of room. u cant go wrong with this. sleeves too long? im not complaining, the wrists are adjustable to hold them up and allows for plenty of movement. (they arent too long) im only 5'2". great fit color and style. way to happy with this coat

The hood tends to be a bit large but all else is great for all activities.
