Outdoor Research Manic Fleece Jacket (For Men)

I'm 5'8" 152 with an athletic build and i got the small. it does not run long, as some suggest. the sleeves are the right length for an active layer, about an inch longer than a casual piece, it's designed this way so that when you reach over your head the sleeves don't ride up. anyway, they aren't so long that the sleeves bunch up or look weird. the torso has an athletic cut, not a baggy or relaxed cut, as some have suggested. the neck opening seems a little loose. the construction seems pretty solid, however the stitching that attaches the mesh inner lining to the outer fleece broke the first time i put this fleece on. strange that they used a stitch that provides no room for stretch at the bottom hem, when the rest of the jacket uses a stretchable flatlock seem. no biggie though, as the broken stitch unravels over time it will be easy to just trim the excess lining away without affecting the jacket at all (if you get this jacket you will see what i mean). overall a nice jacket, not worth full price, but def worth [$]. OR has a lifetime warranty on their products as well.

I'm about 5'6", 140 pounds and got the Small fossil. Must say it's a soft fleece that seems well made and fits a little more on the relaxed side but not very baggy. The sleeves are long as other reviewers mentioned but longer is better than too short. It's 100% polyester but feels like cotton. Love this fleece jacket, can be worn out on a casual day to even layering it on the slopes!

good cut, great weight, hard to find fleece jackets like this

I'm 5'7, 150#, 38" chest, 29" waist, wear a short in dress shirts and like an athletic cut. I tried the Medium in Fossil. This is a great looking and quality fleece for the price. However, on my frame, the Medium was very long in torso length and arms, and a tad loose in the chest and body. Definitely a great fit for a little taller and longer armed build. I have a Short on the way. I also have the Marmot Warmlight fleece jacket and would pick the Outdoor Research over it for style and warmth. Minus 1 banana because it really is built for a taller leaner frame.

good mid layer. cut as a bit long - esp on the sleeves. a bit baggy too. solidly made. when an extra layer is needed, fits perfect with my down sweater. between the two pieces, they are less than 2 pounds and packs nicely.

I'm 6'5"; 230 and the XL fits perfectly! My 1st experience with 'OR' products and will buy more. Great cut with length to spare in the sleeves.

This is a really nice jacket/sweater. I generally wear a XXL and this is true to size. Great weight, would work well as a base layer or looks great for going out. If you worry at all about sleeves not being long enough, this jacket has long sleeves....perfect for a tall guy

Use for lots of outdoor events

Heavy fleece that really keeps the cold and wind from getting through. A bit on the heavy side but I don't intend to weare it under waders. Just good cold dry weather protection that's comfortable.

Purchased this fleece for boyfriend, looks great on and has a good amount of pockets. The only con is that it hits at the hip, if you are not rake thin it might be slightly tight. Still not a deal breaker considering it's price.
