I use these gaitors for orienteering. They are easy to put on, although the string that goes under the instep of the shoe is pretty lame. Although the don't have any padding at the front, like real orienteering gaitors, they work well for moderate brush whacking.

I was disappointed in the velcro closure is in the front, makes the hook not fit right on the shoe string. Also the top is not elastic so doesn't fit tight around leg.

I like the simplicity of this gaiter. Very light, and the lace instep strap is easy to replace in the field.

I bought these before my last backpacking trip on the Pinhoti Trail in Georgia. We had heavy rains for 3 days while hiking. These gaiters definately helped keep the water and debri out of my boots. I would definately recommend them.
