“I was seeking a lightweight weatherproof/sun hat for travel and hiking. I valued the reviews I read online about the famous Seattle Sombrero's problem of wind causing the brim to catch up on the velcro. Sounded very annoying to me. So I gave this one with snaps a try instead. Really like it! I wore it in 85 degrees with a lot of walking last weekend and it made a great lightweight sun hat. Did sweat a little in it, but that's par for that kind of heat. Love the outside adjustment for size as I have long, thick hair and was able to pile it up in the hat, then adjust the size easily. (The Sombrero adjustment is on the inside.) I'm pretty sure it will get 5 stars once I wear it in the rain and confirm that it is waterproof. The wide brim will provide great protection for glasses in the rain and keep my neck dry, too. Important, too, that it has a stable brim, yet packs easily.”
