I bought both the panorama and the helium models, because I wasn't sure which would fit me better and I ended up keeping this one. It doesn't fit in the front pocket like the description claims, but it has more than enough redeeming qualities. It is great as a windbreaker and I can use it both as ... Read More

What a great jacket! Nicely made and totally waterproof. I would say it runs a tiny, tiny bit small. A terrific value.

Our twins do not always like to wear the same clothes so we purchased on Marmot PreCip jacket for one daughter and this jacket from OR for the other. She loved the color and it was a great fit for her. Got it a little big for layering. Well made with smooth zippers. Very happy with he purchase.

I had purchased this with the hopes that I could layer up underneath. It is a bit snug with just a fleece jacket under. Too many layers and you would have issues. Seems like a good durable jacket. I really like the added touch with the two way sippers for ventilation.

Excellent rain coat for my daughter to use while playing soccer. I bought it in X-small and the fit was right on. Nice looking as well. My daughter is very happy. We wanted one that would pack down nice and small, this one does the trick.

I purchased this jacket to replace my OR Palisades jacket, which I loved. The side zips are the greatest idea ever. They provide lots of ventilation. I hike with a waist pack, so I am able to wear the pack over or under the jacket depending on weather. It also works well with any back pack with a waist belt. This is much better made then my previous jacket. The material is heavier, and the hood is designed much better. The fit is long in both the body and sleeves, but this does provide more protection in the rain. It ends at the widest part of my hips and is fitted around the waist, so choose sizes accordingly.

About Outdoor Research

The concept for Outdoor Research was devised in 1981 when climber Ron Gregg’s planned ascent of Denali was cut short, ending prematurely with his frostbitten partner being airlifted off a glacier. The cause was a faulty pair of gaiters. During his descent, Gregg resolved himself to create better gear, a resolution that soon led him to build the first pair of award-winning Outdoor Research gaiters. The concept was simple: Make outdoor apparel and gear with a clear focus on reliability. In the many years since, this brand has continued to blaze new trails with cutting-edge products that now include Outdoor Research gloves, jackets, backpacks and Outdoor Research hats, all engineered to exceed expectations in the most demanding conditions on the planet.
